Angus Chalmers
CoFounder and Production Director

Angus has over 30 years experience in the business. He has worked with a who’s who of the advertising world and has literally seen it all – working on storyboards and animatics for some of the most iconic adverts in the history of advertising.

Having been Senior Production Director at two of the largest storyboard and animatic production houses in the business for the past 28 years, Angus has worked on a great many large campaigns and has been involved in securing clients some of the highest research marks recorded.

Stuart Cronin
CoFounder and Creative Director

Stuart has over 20 years experience, working for top ten agencies in London. Heading up the Design and Creative Development departments.

He was commissioned to write and design a coffee table book for the new Home Office building – working with Architect Sir Terry Farrell, Filmmaker Marcus Robinson and the Governments Art Collection. The book received high recognition from RIBA and received Silver in the World Printing Awards. Stuart’s also won accolades in the D&AD, DMA, Cannes Lions and Design Week Awards

Stuart who with Angus founded The Candy Studio – is looking forward to developing a new and exciting way of working in the storyboard and animatics world.

George Evans
Assistant Producer

George Evans joins Candy as Assistant Producer. The youngest member of the Candy Crew, George brings fresh insights and boundless enthusiasm.
A talented artist in his own right, George has an eye for detail which is already making him a firm favourite with clients.
When he’s not working, George can be found stretching himself physically, bouldering and climbing. George is sure to become a well liked and well known face in the industry.

Leigh West
CoFounder and Talent Director

Leigh has over 30 years experience in the advertising industry – working for both WPP and Omnicom Groups, as well as some of the biggest storyboard/animatic businesses around London. 

Leigh’s experience in fashion advertising has made her the go to artist in London working on brands such as L’Oreal, Lancome and Max Factor. 

Leigh joins Candy as Director of Illustration and Talent, making sure we showcase the best artists across the pond.

Frances Myers
CoFounder and Production

Frances joins Candy as Producer. She brings a fresh eye and enthusiasm to the table, which we love and think you, will too.

She studied BA in Event Management and has extensive experience project managing a diverse range of events from corporate to fashion.

She is now turning her considerable production skills to the world of storyboarding and research content creation.

Heather Whittington
Head of Digital

Heather has over 15 years of digital marketing experience. Starting her career in email marketing when Google was in it’s infancy, and terms like SEO and Social Media hadn’t even been born.

Heather moved onto working for various creative marketing agencies, always within the digital remit and also did a stint client-side before setting up her own online marketing business. Heather joins The Candy Studio to ensure that the brand is championed, easy to find, and it speaks to the right customers at the right time.

Wolfgang Mitlöhner
Head of Oceania Production

Wolfgang spent the past two decades plying his trade in London before returning to hometown Melbourne in 2019.

He spent his formidable years as a creative at Proximity, Mother, Havas, Publicis, Iris, M&C Saatchi amongst others, crafting iconic campaigns for FMCG’s, retail, finance, automotive and aviation for local, regional and global brands. A perpetual upskiller and known stickler, he thrives on the creative development process that bring campaigns to life. His last position was as Head of Design at BETC London before calling time on London.

He is now The Candy Studio’s man on the ground in Australia.

Seth Adams
Head of APAC Production

With over 25 years experience working in the entertainment industry, Seth believes that “story” runs the world and that his mission is to be a part of helping people tell the best and most creative stories possible. 

Seth’s clients and collaborators have included: Disney, ABC, Universal Studios, Dreamworks, Amazon Publishing and the New York Times imprint T:Singapore. He has worked with Oscar, Emmy and Pulitzer Prize winning artists and craftsmen and is waiting “patiently” for his own prestigious awards to arrive, thank you very much.

Juan Torres
Innovation Consultant

With over 25 years of experience and diverse roles in both advertising and film, Juan brings unique insight and vision to his role in Candy.

A CV that reads like an awards list, Juan is an agency EP with his eyes firmly on the future. He has graced the halls of agencies including; McCann, MCA Europe, Grey Spain, DDB, Mullen Lowe, JWT – to name but a few. And has worked on global brands ranging from Adidas to P&G and Reckitt Benckiser.

A believer and designer of a new production era, exploring production values and good practice with international agencies and clients. His vision extends beyond advertising and he has collaborated with people including The Chemical Brothers and Madonna.

He is a champion of future talent and actively supports advertising education in several production schools as well as social and sustainable causes.
